Introduction

Tru-Trac Rollers (Pty) Ltd. has,since its inception in 1993, been dedicated to developing solutions to problems experienced with conveyors, particularly conveyors used in the mining and material handling industries. The company has established a well-earned reputation for its high quality and innovative engineering solutions particularly in relation to problems encountered with high-speed, high-load belts. The Tru-Trac belt tracking system developed in 1995 has proven to be a world leading innovation which has not only been conferred with an award for innovative design, but which has received patent protection in many countries around the world.

Since inception the company has concentrated on innovation in its field of expertise and has filed a significant number of patents to protect several of its more important developments. The company approach has always been to solve customer problems by developing a clear understanding of the customer’s conveyor systems and ensuring that the products and solutions offered match the user’s needs.

Quality

The products are all made to exacting specifications and only the highest quality components and materials are used. The company operates from its factory and offices in Centurion, where all products are manufactured on product specific machines. The Tru-Trac flat-return belt-tracking roller was judged a winner in the 1997 South African Bureau of Standards Design Institute Awards for Engineering Design.

Current Client Base

Tru-Trac Rollers has supplied its products to a wide range of customers in a number of different countries around the world. The majority of sales to date have been made in the Southern African and U.S.A mining industry, although significant sales have taken place in, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

In Southern Africa products have been supplied to, for example, Anglo Platinum, Anglo Operations, Lonmin Platinum, Anglogold, Iscor, Goldlfields, Harmony, Samancor, Eskom, De Beers, Debswana Diamond Co., Asmang, Richards Bay Coal Terminal, X-Strata, Ingwe, and Rossing Uranium Ltd, to name but a few.

The Tru-Trac tracking systems have been patented in South Africa, Canada, U.S.A, Europe, and numerous other countries around the world.
